Tree of Life

I pried open a pomegranate and discovered a Menorah embedded in it.

Tree of Life
mural- 6 month long project featuring an Abstract Menorah.

Menorah-symbol of Judaism-The Divine Light.

Pomegranate-in Jewish tradition it is a symbol of Righteousness because it is said to contain

613 seeds, which corresponds with the 613 mitzvot (commandments) of the Torah.

In addition, the pomegranate represents Fertility,Love,

Knowledge, Learning and Wisdom.

It is used as decorative ornaments on Torah Scrolls.

Symbolic roots signify the formation of Israel as a Nation.

Two tiles on either side of top row feature pomegranate seeds cascading down the tree,

nourishing it.

Top center pomegranate features an embedded Menorah-Light unto the Nations and the name of God.

6 tiles feature eternal flames - Divine presence.

On top of flames -  Ein Sof - Kabbala manifestation of God being  Endless, Infinite.

Background tiles and 3D tile backgrounds are accomplished with glaze, crushed crystals and

powdered enamels (proprietary recipe) to create ripple, cascading or dazzling effect to
